The Asia Pacific Region is growing tremendously and Indonesia is identified as a High Growth Market with a forecast of 5 to 7% economic growth. This is due to the opening up of its economy, political stability, currency stability and progress made in terms of Free Trade Agreement. Business confidence is high in Indonesia as it already repays its loan ahead of schedule. Generally the cost of doing business is low in Indonesia though not as low as Vietnam and China.
Indonesia is rich in resources and has the largest Muslim population in the world with about 250 million people creating a huge domestic market. These 2 factors will enable it to compete successfully in the global market. There are many opportunities and lot of projects in Indonesia especially in the area of infrastructure. The government is now far more business minded and many measures have been taken to make procedures simpler and to encourage foreigners to invest.

Trainer Profile:
Lawrence Png has worked in Indonesia for two and a half years as the Corporate HR Director for 2 Indonesian companies and is currently the HR Director with an American MNC.
Over the last 20 years, Lawrence has worked and consulted with several senior management teams in diverse industries, including Aerospace, Shipping, Manufacturing, IT, Textile, EPC and FMCG. He started his career as an Industrial Relations Officer with the National Trade Union Congress in 1979 and later played major roles as a strategic business partner advising and coaching several senior management teams in local and multinational companies in human resources issues and challenges to support and achieve business goals.
He holds a Bachelor of Management in Business Administration degree and later obtained a Diploma in Personnel Management and a Diploma in Training and Development Management.
