Event Information: AN INTRODUCTION TO THE MYERS BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR (MBTI)
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (or MBTI as it is commonly known) is used all over the world to help people understand themselves and others. It is a powerful tool which focuses on the constructive use of individual differences.
In this one day workshop, participants will complete the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and discover their reported and true MBTI type. They will follow up by exploring work context factors that are likely to influence their overall comfort level and job satisfaction.
Program Outline
· Raise their level of self-awareness through the Myers Briggs Type Indicator
· Discover everyday differences among people in terms of:
- Sources of energy
- Ways in which they gather information
- Ways in which they make decisions
- Their orientation to the world
· Identify different personal styles of interaction and its impact on others
· One of the strengths of the MBTI is that it is non-judgmental and self-affirming. It highlights individual differences or preferences without giving credit to one preference over another. The result is that a safe and supportive environment can be created in which people self disclose and learn the reasons why they may have difficulties in working with others who have an opposite preferences.

Trainer Profile:
Dr Margaret S Gremli is an experienced training consultant, writer and researcher whose experience includes working in Europe, Canada, the USA and Australia as well as in several countries in South East Asia. In Singapore, she has consulted in the public sector and the private sector in local and multinational corporations. Her clients include government ministries, statutory boards, tertiary institutions, hospitals, banks, airlines, hotels and IT and manufacturing corporations.
Dr Gremli was certified as an MBTI administrator and instructor more than ten years ago and has used ithis tool extensively in her work. She is also a registered feedback coach with Oxford Psychological Press for the MBTI Expanded Interpretive Report.
Dr Gremli is a science graduate with an MA in Curriculum and Instruction and a Ph.D in Higher Education and Professional Development from Michigan State University, USA.
